Morris Hollender’s sister, Serena, went into hiding in Budapest during the war. She became a schoolteacher and settled in Florida. She died in 2018.
Morris and Edith visited the Theresienstadt concentration camp in 1992 and lit candles at the crematorium. They returned with earth from the concentration camp and later buried it at the Temple Beth Israel Memorial Park , dedicating a kever avot, to honor the memory of their parents and relatives who perished during the Holocaust.
